Trpišovský and Souček manager and player of the season

After winning double Slavia seized also two biggest individual trophies.
Jindřich Trpišovský led Slavia to their 5th modern-era title just 1,5 years after his arrival. Slavia won 26 out of 35 league games and lost only 4. Offensive style of play brought 79 goals scored which is club record in independent Czech league (since 1993) and second highest number since 1993. Slavia also conceded only 26 goals which is the best result of all teams in 2018/19 FORTUNA:LIGA.

“It’s extremely difficult to win every game we play in our league. Every team gives its best into the games and I highly respect every opponent for this. But if I could highlight one moment, it will be games against Plzeň. These were the key to winning the title,” Trpišovský said on the League Gala on Monday.

Viktoria Plzeň manager Pavel Vrba finished second, FC Jablonec coach Petr Rada third.

Tomáš Souček scored 13 goals in 2018/19 season as defensive midfielder and added 6 assists. He thus became top Slavia scorer. Souček played 34 league games this season, part of them as Slavia captain, with 83,8% passes completed. In 4 Prague Derbys against Sparta (3 in league and 1 in MOL Cup) Souček scored 5 goals. He also started in 11 UEFA Europa League games scoring 2 goals. Souček made 7 caps in Czech national team in 2018/19 scoring 1 goal.

Slavia central defender and Cameroon captain Michael Ngadeu finished 4th, Miroslav Stoch, Josef Hušbauer and Alex Král made it into the top-ten.
