What Really Happened in the AFCON Final?

The controversial AFCON final made headlines around the world. Thanks to a conversation between Malick Diouf and Igoh Ogbu on Slavia TV, we now know what truly happened.

Malick Diouf, a former Slavia player and now a key figure at West Ham, went all the way to the final with Senegal. He helped his country secure what was initially their second-ever title at the tournament, but two months later, the trophy was controversially awarded to hosts Morocco instead.

Igoh Ogbu, one of the pillars of our defence, also played an important role in Nigeria’s run to a bronze medal. As close friends, he conducted this exclusive interview with Malick in the role of a reporter.

On our YouTube channel, you’ll find out everything about the disputed penalty incident, how the idea of walking off the pitch emerged, what captain Sadio Mané said in the dressing room before returning to the field, and how the wild celebrations unfolded in the streets of Senegal.

For the first time, honestly and first-hand—from two AFCON medalists. Only on Slavia TV!
