Board Decision on Imposing a Sanction
The Board of Directors of SK Slavia Prague has decided to impose a lifetime ban from Fortuna Arena on a spectator who unlawfully entered the pitch during the derby and subsequently assaulted player Jakub Surovčík.
The individual was identified through cooperation between security authorities and the stadium’s CCTV system and later admitted responsibility for his actions. The club then evaluated the case in accordance with the Fortuna Arena stadium regulations.
Under the stadium regulations, spectators are strictly prohibited from entering the playing area without the organiser’s permission, as well as from any physical or verbal abuse of individuals inside the stadium. The club considers the physical assault of a player during a match to be one of the most serious violations of safety and public order.
Given the exceptional seriousness of the incident and the threat posed to the player’s health, the club’s Board of Directors decided to impose the maximum possible sanction under the stadium regulations — a lifetime ban from Fortuna Arena.
SK Slavia Prague also emphasises that the safety of players, coaching staffs, employees and supporters is the club’s absolute priority, and such behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
