Sıkora and van Buren sign new contracts

Czech midfielder Jan Sıkora and Dutch striker Mick van Buren prolong their contracts in Slavia. Sıkora’s contract expires in 2022, van Buren’s a year earlier.
24-year old midfielder Jan Sıkora Joined Slavia two years ago and won the Czech league in 2017 and Czech Cup in 2018. “I am glad Slavia offered me a new contract,” Sıkora said. “I have been here for two years and signing for another four years is a big step ahead. Not everyone gets this chance. I appreciate the offer by Slavia and I hope I will be repaying it every day,” Slavia midfielder added.Mick van Buren joined Slavia in summer 2016, scored 5 goals in 26 league games and won the title in 2017. “I am extremely happy and proud that I could sign a deal for two more years in Slavia. I believe we can do a lot in the new era. I take the new contract as a token of goodwill from the club after the serious injury I suffered and the long recovery,” van Buren said.
Van Buren did not play a competitive game since April 2018 due to metatarsal fracture and fractured leg. “The recovery is going well and I am training on 100% now. I believe I will start in a real match soon, maybe for the U21 at first, but I’d like to start for the first team this year,” added 26-year old Dutch striker.
