Slavia started summer training with 28 players

The red & whites started their summer training before the start of 2018-19 season. There are 28 players in the squad including new faces and players returning from loan.
There are 28 names in the Slavia squad on the beginning of the summer camp with two new faces – goalkeeper Martin Vantruba and defender Vladimír Coufal – and two players returning from loan – Jasmin Ščuk and Marko Alvir. Vantruba signed for Slavia already during the winter break but finished the season in Slovak side Trnava where he celebrated the title.

On the other hand 4 names will not continue in the red-white shirt:
Danny and Ruslan Mingazov agreed to terminate their contracts, Tomáš Necid and Eduard Sobol return from loan to their clubs.

Several young players joined the team for its training camp in Austria:

Austrian winger Jonas Auer is coming from St. Pölten Academy. Member of Austrian U21 national team (10 games, 4 goals last season) has already played for Slavia during the winter break and scored one goal in a friendly game against Viktoria Žižkov.

Czech winger Tomáš Freit has been raised in Baník Ostrava and joined Slavia in 2017. During the last season Freit played for the Slavia U23 team scoring hattrick in the Prague Derby against Sparta.

Croatian striker Petar Musa joined Slavia from NK Zagreb last year. 20-year old player spent the last season on loan in Viktoria Žižkov (20 games, 5 goals).

Striker Jan Kuchta played for Viktoria Žižkov last season (12 games, 4 goals, 5 assists). Previously played on loan in Bohemians 1905.

Bosnian defensive midfielder Jasmin Ščuk returns from loan in 2nd-tier Turkish club Erzurum BB where he contributed to the promotion to the top league (33 games, 2 goals, 2 assists). Ščuk has already played 18 league games for Slavia in 2016-2017.

Marko Alvir spent a year in Slavia in 21016-17 but did not start in the Czech first league. Croatian midfielder returned to Slovenian club NK Domžale on loan last season and scored 5 goals in 21 games. Alvir is currently recovering from a knee-injury.

Slava travelled to Austria for a fitness training on Saturday morning. Members of Czech national team arrive on Sunday, Per-Egil Flo and Michael Ngadeu will join the team later due to personal reasons.

Winning Finish to a Golden Season. Champions Defeat Plzeň

Wearing a special set of charity kits, Slavia Prague defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3–0 in the final match of the season. The champions opened the scoring with quick-fire goals from Chaloupek and Suleiman, before Chytil added a penalty before half-time. The celebrations could then begin in Eden with the “Garden Party for a Good Cause.”

Defeat in Hradec. Debutant Kohout Scores Slavia’s Only Goal

The Chance Liga champions suffered a 3–1 defeat away to Hradec Králové in the penultimate round of the season. The Votroci remained the only team Slavia failed to beat this season. Slavia’s only goal came late on through debutant Dan Kohout.

CHAMPIONS 23. Victory over Jablonec Secures Back-to-Back Titles

Slavia Prague defeated Jablonec 5–1 in the third round of the championship group and secured the league title. The goals that sealed the successful defence of last year’s triumph came from Štěpán Chaloupek, who scored twice, Samuel Isife, Mojmír Chytil and Tomáš Holeš. The visitors’ only reply came through Sobol. It is the 23rd league title in the club’s history. CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU!
