Slavia deliveres Easter packages to former players in quarantine

The club together with its partners organised special Easter deliveries to Slavia legends in the time of quarantine.

The Czech Republic has been in quarantine for almost a month to contain spread of COVID-19 disease. People should not leave their homes with the exception of work-related commuting, grocery shopping and seeing a doctor. Especially elderly people are often home alone, and this time can be difficult for them not only physically but also mentally.

Before Easter, Slavia visited tens of its former players and delivered them packages with groceries, traditional Easter pastries, chocolate, Slavia beer, face masks and other things so that they could enjoy these rather unusual holiday.

“You played a huge part in Slavia history and the club does not forget. You did a lot for us and now we feel we should do something for you in return,” stays in the letter signed by Jaroslav Tvrdík, Slavia Chairman of Board, First-team managed Jindřich Trpšovský and first-team captain Jan Bořil.

The delivery was part of our coronavirus campaign “Sešívaní Hrdinové” (Slavia Heroes) connecting the club, its fan organisations and all Slavia fans, promoting their community and charity actions and inspiring all people who want to join these actions.
