Simon Deli signes new contract till 2020

PRAGUE - Simon Deli signed new contract with Slavia till 2020.
Deli refused several offers from France and Germany prolonging his contract with Slavia untill 2020. Centre-back from Ivory Coast plays has been playing for Slavia since 2015. In the last season, he started in 25 league games with one goal, one assist and zero bookings! 25-year-old Deli has also played 8 games for Ivory Coast national team.

“I have always had Slavia in my heart and devoted all my effort to the club. I had more offers this summer but I did not even look them through thoroughly. I decided to stay in Prague. I believe that this connection brings us success,” Deli said.

“We sign a new contract with one of three best players in the Czech league, maybe even with the best one. Simon is the main pillar of our defence and thus his contract means the biggest reinforcement of the club. I am looking forward to seeing him playing for Champions league in Slavia,” Chairman of Board Jaroslav Tvrdík added.
