Nicolae Stanciu is back in Prague signing 4-year deal with Slavia!
Romanian midfielder Nicolae Stanciu is the latest Slavia reinforcement. The 26-year old Romanian midfielder signed deal with the red-whites till June 2023. Stanciu will join Slavia for their Austrian training camp on Thursday.

Nicolae Stanciu started his senior career in the age of 17 in Unirea Alba Iulia, later transferring to FC Vaslui scoring 2 goals in 47 games (including converted penalty in UEFA Europa League qualifier against Internazionale).

In 2013, Steaua Bucharest announced the signing of then 20-year-old Stanciu and his goal secured the club qualification into the UEFA Champions League Group Stage. In 2015/16 Stanciu netted 14 goals in 39 games, a year later he scored 3 goals against Sparta Prague in the UCL third qualifying round.

In August 2016 Nico Stanciu joined Anderlecht and became the then-most expensive player bought by a Belgian club. During his spell in Anderlecht he scored 5 goals and added 5 more assists in 31 games.

In January 2018 Stanciu made another transfer, this time for Slavia main city rival Sparta Prague. During his one year in Czech FORTUNA:LIGA he scored 10 goals (including 2 against Slavia in a 3-3 draw on Letná stadium) and added 10 assists. In January 2019 he left Sparta for Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

Nico made his debut in Romanian national team in March 2016 in the age of 22. Since then he made 31 international caps scoring 10 goals. Stanciu was also part of the Romanian squad on EURO 2016.

Winning Finish to a Golden Season. Champions Defeat Plzeň

Wearing a special set of charity kits, Slavia Prague defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3–0 in the final match of the season. The champions opened the scoring with quick-fire goals from Chaloupek and Suleiman, before Chytil added a penalty before half-time. The celebrations could then begin in Eden with the “Garden Party for a Good Cause.”

Defeat in Hradec. Debutant Kohout Scores Slavia’s Only Goal

The Chance Liga champions suffered a 3–1 defeat away to Hradec Králové in the penultimate round of the season. The Votroci remained the only team Slavia failed to beat this season. Slavia’s only goal came late on through debutant Dan Kohout.

CHAMPIONS 23. Victory over Jablonec Secures Back-to-Back Titles

Slavia Prague defeated Jablonec 5–1 in the third round of the championship group and secured the league title. The goals that sealed the successful defence of last year’s triumph came from Štěpán Chaloupek, who scored twice, Samuel Isife, Mojmír Chytil and Tomáš Holeš. The visitors’ only reply came through Sobol. It is the 23rd league title in the club’s history. CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU!
