One Slavia player tested positive for COVID-19

On Monday, one player was tested positive for COVID-19 during mandatory coronavirus tests before the restart of the Czech league.

On Monday, 18 May, mandatory coronavirus testing of players and the first-team staff before the restart of the Czech FORTUNA:LIGA took place. In Slavia, the tests showed one positive result. "The player who was tested positive stays home with no further contact with any other players and members of first-team staff. In agreement with the club there will be a rest period for all players until Thursday followed by three more tests which should be finished until 1 June,” the Prague Public Health Office stated.

Slavia youth teams who are preparing at Sinobo Stadium interrupted their work. The stadium will be completely disinfected.

Friendly game between Slavia and Vysočina Jihlava scheduled for Tuesday, 19 May, was postponed.

Slavia should restart the Czech league on Tuesday, 26 May, away at FK Mladá Boleslav.

Slavia defeated Bohemians in front of 18,992 spectators at Fortuna Arena and continue to lead the Chance Liga table. The Vršovice derby was decided in the first half, with goals from Tomáš Chorý and Štěpán Chaloupek (the latter deflected in by Okeke). In the second half, Lukáš Provod scored a stunning strike, while Zeman pulled one back for the visitors.
