Off to Dubai!

PRAGUE/DUBAI – Slavia have left for the tactical part of their mid-season preparation. The club will train in Dubai until 5th February. The red & whites will play four friendly games during the training camp.
New faces joined the team – defensive midfielder/defender Ondřej Kúdela, goalkeeper Ondřej Kolář and striker Stanislav Tecl who returned from loan to Jablonec. On the other hand goalkeeper Jan Laštůvka does not travel with the club as he has permission to look for another contract.

Slavia will play friendly games with top European and Chinese clubs. First game comes on January 25 against Zenit St. Petersburg (currently 2nd in the Russian PL). The match will have special drive for Danny who joined Slavia from Zenit last summer serving as a captain of Russian side for several years.

Other games will be against Br?ndby Copenhagen (2nd in the Danish league), Guangzhou Evergrande (with manager Fabio Cannavaro) and Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukrainian PL leaders).

In the 17th round of the Chance Liga, Slavia defeated Slovácko 3–0 at Eden. Mojmír Chytil scored twice, and Tomáš Chorý added a ruthless finish. Igoh Ogbu returned from injury, and academy product Tomáš Jelínek made his league debut as part of the starting line-up.

Slavia drew 0–0 with Athletic Bilbao in the 5th round of the Champions League league phase. Jindřich Staněk delivered an exceptional performance, denying the Basque club four clear goal-scoring opportunities. After five matches, the Red-Whites have three points from three draws.

Slavia defeated Bohemians in front of 18,992 spectators at Fortuna Arena and continue to lead the Chance Liga table. The Vršovice derby was decided in the first half, with goals from Tomáš Chorý and Štěpán Chaloupek (the latter deflected in by Okeke). In the second half, Lukáš Provod scored a stunning strike, while Zeman pulled one back for the visitors.
