New contract for Petr Ševčík

Petr Ševčík signed new contract with Slavia until 30 June 2025.

Ševčík joined Slavia in January 2019 from Slovan Liberec. He quickly became one of the key players for our successful spring scoring – among others – two goals in the UEFA Europa League quarter-final second leg against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. His second goal was later voted the Goal of the Year 2019 in the Czech Republic. In 2019 Ševčík celebrated double lifting the Czech league trophy and the MOL Cup. A year later he made 5appearances in the Champions League Group Stage and won the 20th Czech title with Slavia. Since joining the club, he scored 8 goals and added 21 assists in all competitions. He also got into the Czech national team making 6 caps in the UEFA Nations League and EURO Qualifiers.

The 26-year old midfielder now signed a new contract until June 2025. Ševčík was recovering from a knee ligament injury and made his first start since December against Karlovy Vary last week. In this game, unfortunately, he had to be substituted due to another ligament injury to his left knee.
