Necid is back!

PRAGUE – The golden kid of Slavia Tomáš Necid is back! The 28-year old striker is coming on loan from Turkish side Bursaspor. Necid will stay till the end of 2017/18 season with an option to make the deal permanent.
All the details of Tomáš’ loan have been finished on Friday evening and the Czech national forward was added to the UEFA Europa League line-up. His favourite number 24 has been occupied though, so he will wear number 27.

“Tomáš is coming on loan with an option. He is player who raised in Slavia so we believe in his red-white heart,” Chairman of Board of Slavia Jaroslav Tvrdík said.

“I am looking forward to seeing all the players, fans and everything in the club again. I have always been home to Slavia and it will always be so. I believe we will be successful as a team in the league and in Europe,” Tomáš Necid sent in a message from Turkey.

Tomáš Necid was born on 13th August 1989 in Prague and came to Slavia at the age of 10. He debuted in the Czech first league in September 2006 and scored his maiden goal just one game later. In 2007/08 he played two games of UEFA Champions League and for the second half of the season left on-loan to Jablonec.

During autumn 2008 he scored 11 goals in 16 games for Slavia and moved to CSKA Moscow. In 105 games for the Russian army club he scored 30 goals.

After his loan to PAOK in 2013 he returned to Slavia for half a year and helped the club to avoid relegation in 2013/14. In 2014/15 he played for the Dutch club PEC Zwolle. In 2015 he moved to Turkish club Bursaspor scoring 16 goals in 33 matches. Spring part of 2017 witnessed him to return to Central Europe playing for Legia Warsaw.

Tomáš Necid made 44 international caps for the Czech national team scoring 12 goals including an important goal against Croatian on EURO 2016.
