Muris Mešanovič and Jiří Pavlenka join Slavia

PRAGUE - Slavia revealed the names of two winter reinforcements during the January press conference. Goalkeeper Jiří Pavlenka and striker Muris Mušanovič have signed contracts until 30 June 2019.
Jiří Pavlenka (14. 4. 1992)
The twenty-three-year-old goalkeeper started his football career in Baník Ostrava and has become the A team´s first choice goalkeeper. With 20 matches in the 2013/2014 season, Pavlenka did not miss a single game in the previous season. Being the backbone of Baník’s defence, Pavlenka has kept one clean sheet in the running one. The talented goalkeeper played at the U21s level for the Czech Republic and was member of the squad at a UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2015. In October 2014 Pavlenka was also called up to the senior team.

Muris Mešanovič (6. 7. 1990)
The Bosnian striker came to the Czech Republic in 2006 joining the junior team of Jablonec. Mešanović debuted for the senior team in the domestic cup, but was later loaned to Jihlava where he transferred in winter 2011. Jihlava, the second league runner-ups were promoted to the first league and Mešanović played his first game in July 2012 against Slavia. The offensive leader of Vysočina has scored eight times in the running season, exceeding his six goals from the previous season.

Winning Finish to a Golden Season. Champions Defeat Plzeň

Wearing a special set of charity kits, Slavia Prague defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3–0 in the final match of the season. The champions opened the scoring with quick-fire goals from Chaloupek and Suleiman, before Chytil added a penalty before half-time. The celebrations could then begin in Eden with the “Garden Party for a Good Cause.”

Defeat in Hradec. Debutant Kohout Scores Slavia’s Only Goal

The Chance Liga champions suffered a 3–1 defeat away to Hradec Králové in the penultimate round of the season. The Votroci remained the only team Slavia failed to beat this season. Slavia’s only goal came late on through debutant Dan Kohout.

CHAMPIONS 23. Victory over Jablonec Secures Back-to-Back Titles

Slavia Prague defeated Jablonec 5–1 in the third round of the championship group and secured the league title. The goals that sealed the successful defence of last year’s triumph came from Štěpán Chaloupek, who scored twice, Samuel Isife, Mojmír Chytil and Tomáš Holeš. The visitors’ only reply came through Sobol. It is the 23rd league title in the club’s history. CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU!
