Mohamed Tijani on loan to Slavia

Ivorian centre-back Mohamed Tijani joins Slavia on loan from Vysočina Jihlava.

22-year old Ivorian centre-back will spend the spring part of 2019/2020 season on loan to Slavia with option for permanent contract. Tijani is coming from Vysočina Jihlava, he started to 14 games in FNL (Czech 2nd tier) this season and scored one goal.

"I am glad I can be in Slavia. I am looking forward to Slavia fans and I wan to thank all people from the club for this opportunity. Slavia have the highest ambitions and so do I. I want to show the best of me here and I want to keep Slavia in their position of the best Czech club," Tijani said after his arrival to Eden.

Tijani played in Ivory Coast till his 17th birthday. "Momo" then started his European career in Spain in Rayo Vallecano youth academy, half a year later he moved to Rayo reserves. In March 2018 he moved to the Czech Republic playing for MFK Vyškov in Czech third tier. In January 2019 he moved again, this time to Vysočina Jihlava (Czech second tier). He was one of the key players for Vysočina which finished second in Czech Football National League and qualified for the play-off competition.

Winning Finish to a Golden Season. Champions Defeat Plzeň

Wearing a special set of charity kits, Slavia Prague defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3–0 in the final match of the season. The champions opened the scoring with quick-fire goals from Chaloupek and Suleiman, before Chytil added a penalty before half-time. The celebrations could then begin in Eden with the “Garden Party for a Good Cause.”

Defeat in Hradec. Debutant Kohout Scores Slavia’s Only Goal

The Chance Liga champions suffered a 3–1 defeat away to Hradec Králové in the penultimate round of the season. The Votroci remained the only team Slavia failed to beat this season. Slavia’s only goal came late on through debutant Dan Kohout.

CHAMPIONS 23. Victory over Jablonec Secures Back-to-Back Titles

Slavia Prague defeated Jablonec 5–1 in the third round of the championship group and secured the league title. The goals that sealed the successful defence of last year’s triumph came from Štěpán Chaloupek, who scored twice, Samuel Isife, Mojmír Chytil and Tomáš Holeš. The visitors’ only reply came through Sobol. It is the 23rd league title in the club’s history. CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU!
