Miroslav Stoch signs new contract

Slovak midfielder Miroslav Stoch prolonged his contract with Slavia. Best striker of the red-whites in current season signed a 3-year deal ending in June 2022.
“I have great feeling about this. I see the new contract as a reward for all the work I did here. Signing the deal, I show that I like the club and I am satisfied here,” Miroslav Stoch said.

“Miroslav Stoch is one of the top scorers of Czech league and big personality of our club. I am glad we signed a new 3-year deal. Mino will fight with us for the title and – I hope – for the Champions League qualification and success in Europe,” Jaroslav Tvrdík, Slavia chairman of Board, added.

Miroslav Stoch has been the key figure of Slavia offensive this season. The 29-year old midfielder scored 9 goals and added 3 assists in 15 league games. Former player of Chelsea, Fenerbahce or PAOK returned to Slovak national team lately and played the Czech-Slovak federal derby on Sinobo Stadium in Eden on Monday.

Slavia defeated Bohemians in front of 18,992 spectators at Fortuna Arena and continue to lead the Chance Liga table. The Vršovice derby was decided in the first half, with goals from Tomáš Chorý and Štěpán Chaloupek (the latter deflected in by Okeke). In the second half, Lukáš Provod scored a stunning strike, while Zeman pulled one back for the visitors.
