Jan Sýkora is leaving for Lech Poznan

After three and a half years, Jan Sýkora is leaving the red and whites. “Slavia fulfilled my dreams,” says 26-year old midfielder.

Jan Sýkora moves to Polish Ekstraklasa and signed 4-year deal in Poznan. He became the biggest transfer in the history of Lech. Sýkora joined Slavia in 2017 from Slovan Liberec where he scored the fastest goal in history of UEFA Europa League. He played 56 competitive games for the red and whites and scored 7 goals. In 2017 he lifted the Czech title and a year later the Czech FA Cup. In 2018/19 he played on loan to Slovan Liberec, last season he spent on loan to FK Jablonec where he scored 8 goals.

“I had my goals, my dreams when I joined Slavia. And those dreams were fulfilled. I managed to win the league and the cup, I played European competitions in front of the full stadium in Eden. I must thank Slavia for that. I was happy here, but there is a new stage ahead. I was part of the biggest club in Czechia and I will remember it forever. I wish good luck to Slavia and to the lads and I hope this season will be equally successful as the last one for them,” Sýkora said for Slavia TV.
