Home unbeaten streak interrupted after 59 games

With the 0-1 defeat against Karviná ended the 59-game long streak without a single defeat at home in the Czech top division.

Slavia were unbeaten 59 games at home in the Czech Fortuna Liga. The unbeaten run stretched over four seasons and almost three and a half years. It was the longest home unbeaten run in the history of the club and second longest unbeaten run at the home stadium in the history of the Czech and Czechoslovak league.

Before the 0-1 defeat against MFK Karviná in the opening game of the spring season on 5 February 2022, the last league game we lost at Eden was the 0-2 defeat against Jablonec on 18 August 2018. Only Stanislav Tecl (who replaced Ivan Schranz after 80 minutes against Karviná) was on the pitch against Jablonec in 2018.

Our 59th straight home win came on 12 December 2021 against Mladá Boleslav.

Slavia failed to convert a penalty both against Karviná and Jablonec. Tomáš Holeš scored one of the Jablonec goals and assisted the other before moving to Slavia a year later. During the 59 unbeaten games Slavia scored 152 goals and conceded only 26.

Across all competitions Slavia lost only 5 home games out of last 90 before the match against Karviná. Only Arsenal (UEL quarter-final), Inter, Barcelona, Dortmund (UEL group stage) and Chelsea (UEL quarter-final) managed to win at Eden.
