Halil Altintop became the sewn-one

PRAGUE - Attacking midfielder Halil Altintop will play for Slavia in the next seasons. Former Turkish international joins the club from German Bundesliga side FC Augsburg.
"I believe the club has set the right way in past two years and they also deserved their spot in European competitions. I want to be part of this family and thus i opted for Slavia," Halil Altintop said.

"For me this is going to be a great opportunity to get in touch with new country and new city. There is a big chance to play the Champions League an together with the team and the club we will do everything to play with such a big names like Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich," the Turkish-German midfielder added.

Halil Altintop (born 1982 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany) spent most of his career in Bundesliga clubs - 1.FC Kaiserslautern, Schalke 04, Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Augsburg. Between 2011 and 2013 he played for Turkish club Trabzonspor. He is the best scoring Turkish in Bundesliga (67 goals) and has also the most caps of all the Turks ever played in Germany (351). He is former Turkish international playing 38 games and scoring 8 goals in the national team. During the last season Halil Altintop made 31 league appearances in Augsburg scoring 6 goals.
