Five Red-Whites called up to the Czech national team

Bořil, Holeš, Masopust, Ševčík and Zima received a call-up to the Czech national team for EURO 2020 final tournament.

Five Slavia players will join the Czech national team for the EURO 2020 final tournament. Defenders Jan Bořil and David Zima and midfielders Tomáš Holeš, Lukáš Masopust and Petr Ševčík. Froward Jan Kuchta, who is currently on top of the goalscorers’ table of the Czech Fortuna Liga, is on the backup list in case of any absences.


Tomáš Holeš scored 8 goals for Red-Whites this season.

Czech national team will play two friendly games before the final tournament. On 4 June against Italy in Bologna and on 8 June against Albania in Prague.

The Czechs will be based in Glasgow during the EURO Group Stage. On 14 June they will start the tournament with a game against Scotland in Glasgow, on 18 June they will take on Croatia in Hampden Park again. The last game of the group stage will be played against England in Wembley on 22 June.


Slavia captain Jan Bořil made 21 caps for the Czech national team so far.

It will be the first EURO appearance for all five players. 20-year old David Zima is yet waiting for his first senior cap in the national team.
