Champions league draw: First reactions

PRAGUE/NYON - Slavia will meet BATE from Belarus or Alashkert from Armenia in the UEFA Champions League. First leg ended in a 1-1 draw in Borisov, the second leg will be played in Yerevan
Slavia will start home in Eden Arena on 25th or 26th July. The second leg will be played away on 1st or 2nd August.

“BATE are favourite but we need to wait for the second leg. We have already started collecting some information about both teams, if we want to be successful, we need to win these games. Maybe there were some opponents with bigger names in the draw, but we cannot underestimate anybody,” manager
Jaroslav Šílhavý says.

“Each game will be difficult. BATE is very strong opponent and the game will not be easy one because they have been much more experienced in UEFA competitions lately. But there could be also a surprise and the Armenian team could qualify,” captain Jiří Bílek added.

“I know BATE well, we used to play them with Zenit and we managed to win. I also scored a gol. We need to be ready and self-confident,” Portuguese midfielder and new Slavia reinforcement Danny says.
