Big success for Czechs, first cap for Olayinka

Slavia players on international duty: Czech Republic defeated England, Peter Olayinka made his first cap for Nigeria.
Czech national team played an important EURO 2020 qualifier against England at Sinobo Stadium on Friday, 11 October. With Bořil, Coufal, Souček and Masopust in starting XI the Czechs were quickly one goal down following Kane’s penalty but managed to come from behind to win 2-1. Lukáš Masopust assisted Zdeněk Ondrášek for the second Czech goal on 85th minute. It was first England defeat in Euro or World Cup qualifiers after 10 years and first Czech (Czechoslovak) win over England since 1976.

Czech Republic are now second in group A three points behind England and one point ahead of Kosovo. Montenegro and Bulgaria already lost their chance to qualify for the EURO 2020.

On Monday, 14 October, the Czechs played friendly against Northern Ireland in Prague losing 2-3 after an unsuccessful 0-3 first half. Kúdela and Hušbauer (C) were part of starting line-up, Bořil and Masopust came from the bench.

Peter Olayinka made his maiden start in Nigerian national team as the Super Eagles managed to hold Brazil in an international Friendly to 1-1 draw. Olayinka came onto the pitch after 89 minutes replacing Chukwueze.

Nicolae Stanciu started in both EURO qualifiers for Romanian national team. Stanciu played 90 minutes against Faroe Islands (3-0) and against Norway (1-1). Romania now sit third in the group F, one point behind Sweden and 6 points behind Spain.

Winning Finish to a Golden Season. Champions Defeat Plzeň

Wearing a special set of charity kits, Slavia Prague defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3–0 in the final match of the season. The champions opened the scoring with quick-fire goals from Chaloupek and Suleiman, before Chytil added a penalty before half-time. The celebrations could then begin in Eden with the “Garden Party for a Good Cause.”

Defeat in Hradec. Debutant Kohout Scores Slavia’s Only Goal

The Chance Liga champions suffered a 3–1 defeat away to Hradec Králové in the penultimate round of the season. The Votroci remained the only team Slavia failed to beat this season. Slavia’s only goal came late on through debutant Dan Kohout.

CHAMPIONS 23. Victory over Jablonec Secures Back-to-Back Titles

Slavia Prague defeated Jablonec 5–1 in the third round of the championship group and secured the league title. The goals that sealed the successful defence of last year’s triumph came from Štěpán Chaloupek, who scored twice, Samuel Isife, Mojmír Chytil and Tomáš Holeš. The visitors’ only reply came through Sobol. It is the 23rd league title in the club’s history. CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU!
