Babacar Sy joins the Red-Whites

Senegalese striker transfers from Táborsko. He signed a deal until 30 June 2026.

22-year-old forward joins Slavia from Táborsko playing the Czech second division. In the first half of 2022/23 he scored five times in the Fortuna National League including three strikes in two games against Slavia reserves.

The 184-centimetres tall player came to Táborsko directly from Africa. He can play on both wings and as a striker. He made 16 appearances in the 2022/23 season, 15 of them in the starting line-up.

Sy is another player joining Slavia from Tábosrko after Marek Icha in January 2022 and Abdallah Sima in summer 2020. Sima later scored 15 goals in 32 games for Slavia – including important goals in the UEFA Europa League – and joined Brighton in the EPL in August 2021.

Winning Finish to a Golden Season. Champions Defeat Plzeň

Wearing a special set of charity kits, Slavia Prague defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3–0 in the final match of the season. The champions opened the scoring with quick-fire goals from Chaloupek and Suleiman, before Chytil added a penalty before half-time. The celebrations could then begin in Eden with the “Garden Party for a Good Cause.”

Defeat in Hradec. Debutant Kohout Scores Slavia’s Only Goal

The Chance Liga champions suffered a 3–1 defeat away to Hradec Králové in the penultimate round of the season. The Votroci remained the only team Slavia failed to beat this season. Slavia’s only goal came late on through debutant Dan Kohout.

CHAMPIONS 23. Victory over Jablonec Secures Back-to-Back Titles

Slavia Prague defeated Jablonec 5–1 in the third round of the championship group and secured the league title. The goals that sealed the successful defence of last year’s triumph came from Štěpán Chaloupek, who scored twice, Samuel Isife, Mojmír Chytil and Tomáš Holeš. The visitors’ only reply came through Sobol. It is the 23rd league title in the club’s history. CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU!
