Alex Král moves to Spartak Moscow

Slavia midfielder Alex Král’s transfer to Spartak Moscow was finished on Wednesday for the second-highest transfer fee in Czech history.
Alex Král joined Slavia in the age of 13 and went through all our youth teams. In 2017 he moved to FK Teplice where he started with senior football and made his first caps in Czech top tier. On the beginning of 2019 he came back to Slavia as one of the biggest talents of Czech football and became regular in the first team. He also got into the Czech national team and played 3 games so far, including the European qualifiers against Bulgaria and Montenegro.

In 2019 Alex Král was listed in “50 for the future” UEFA ranking among most promising European youth players.

21-year old defensive midfielder or defender Alex Král joins Spartak Moscow for more than 12 million euros (310 million CZK) which is second-highest transfer fee in the history of Czech league (only Tomáš Rosický’s transfer from Sparta to BVB in 2001 cost more).

"Alex is member of Czech national team, he played his best games in Europa League - against enk, Sevilla or Chelsea or now against Cluj. He wal always extraordinary for his position of central midfielder. Many clubs followed him after the season with enormour interest shown not only by Spartak. It is weakening us, of course, but the offer was enormous for the club. Alex wanted to try it," Slavia manager Jindřch Trpišovský said.
