Against Feyenoord, Union, and Maccabi Haifa in the Europa Conference League

Slavia know their opponents for the group stage of the brand new UEFA competition.

The Red-Whites were drawn into the Group E of the newly established UEFA Europa Conference League from the Pot 1 together with Feyenoord Rotterdam from the Netherlands, Union Berlin from Germany and Maccabi Haifa from Israel.

Times of the kick-offs will be set until Saturday, 28 April, the UECL will be played on Thursdays along the UEFA Europa League. The group stage starts on 16 September and ends on 9 December 2021.

Feyenoord is one of the most successful Dutch clubs with 15 league titles, the most recent one in 2016/17, and 13 Dutch cups. In the last season they finished 5th and qualified for the UECL through Luzern and Elfsborg.

Union Berlin surprised the entire German Bundesliga last year finishing 7th in just their second season in the top flight. In the play-off they managed to eliminate KuPS from Finland after 4-0 away and 0-0 at home. Slavia striker Petar Musa spent the second part of 2020/21 season on loan to Union.

Maccabi Haifa belong to the most successful Israeli clubs. They managed to win the Israeli top division last year 4 points ahead of Maccabi Tel Aviv and 25 points ahead of Ashdod on the third place. Maccabi return to the European competitions after 8 years, but in 2002 and 2009 they played in the Champions League group stage.
