Against Chelsea in UEL quarter-final

Slavia will play against Chelsea after their sensational qualification into the UEFA Europa League quarter-final over Sevilla FC. First leg will be played home in Eden Arena on 11 April. Second leg away on Stamford Bridge a week later.
Slavia will start home against Chelsea on Thursday 11 April. The second leg will be played in London on 18 April. Both games should kick off at 9 pm, but the exact time has not been confirmed by UEFA yet.

The draw in Nyon has also determined our possible road to the final in Baku. If Slavia will eliminate Chelsea, the red-whites should play either against Benfica or Frankfurt. First leg would be played on 2 May away, second leg on 9 May home in Eden.

Chelsea FC are currently 17th among European clubs according to UEFA ranking. The Blues have won the UEFA Europa League in 2013 and the UEFA Champions League in 2012. They became Premier League/First Division champions six times, most recently in 2016. Two years later Chelsea won the FA Cup which was their last major trophy.

The Blues entered the Group stage of UEL directly this year, winning their group ahead of PAOK, Vidi and BATE (W5 D1 L0, score 12-3). In Round of 32 they eliminated Malmö after 2-1 away and 3-0 home victories. In Round of 16 Chelsea destroyed Dynamo Kyiv 3-0 home and 5-0 away. Best striker of our opponent in European competitions this year is Olivier Giroud who has scored 9 goals in UEL already.

Chelsea are currently 6th in English Premier League, one point behind Man United and 17 points behind leaders Man City.
