Sheriff Sinyan departs Slavia

Sheriff Sinyan departs Slavia after one year. The club and the 27-year-old centre-back have mutually agreed not to activate the two-year option after the expiry of his one-year contract.

One of the reasons for this is the increased playing time that Sinyan needs and demands after his injury, but Slavia are can´t guarantee it. "I´d like to thank my teammates, the coaches and management, and in fact to everyone, how they accepted me, how they took care of me during my injury. I will remember the moments we shared together with great pleasure. I wish Slavia all the best for the years to come," says Sheriff Sinyan.

Sheriff Sinyan arrived in Eden in July 2023 as a free agent, signing a one-year contract with a two-year option. He spent the beginning of the engagement under the care of doctors and physiotherapists.

The Oslo native, who represents Gambia, made his first start for the A-team on the 29th of October in Ďolíček against Bohemians. He added further league minutes with Plzeň and Mladá Boleslav, and also featured in the MOL Cup in Hradec Králové.

He suffered a muscle injury during the January training camp in Algarve, when he played against Sönderjyske and AIK Stockholm.

Sheriff, thank you and we wish you good health!
