The Red-whites drew the first game of the play-off tie against Legia Warszawa 2-2.

Manager Jindřich Trpišovský made a couple of changes to his starting eleven in comparison with the match against Ferencváros. Taras Kacharaba was replaced by David Zima. Ibrahim Traoré started in central midfield, Abdallah Sima played on the left wing instead of Peter Olayinka and Ivan Schranz substituted Stanislav Tecl up front.

The Red-whites put pressure on Legia’s defence right from the beginning of the match. This exagerated in the 9th minute when Ivan Schranz passed the ball ito Jakub Hromada in the penalty area. Hromada sent a shot on goal but it went just over the crossbar.

A minute later, Ibrahim Traoré won the ball on the right wing, crossed it to the far post to Abdallah Sima who headed it just wide!

But it was Legia who opened the scoreline. Nawrocki crossed the ball behind the defence for Emreli who sent it over Ondřej Kolář to send Legia into the lead.

Ivan Schranz had an opportunity to level the scoreline just a minute later but his shot was not accurate.

Slavia won a corner in the 33rd minute which was played into the penalty area by Lukáš Masopust. His low cross found Alexander Bah on the edge of the box who sent the ball beautifully to the top left corner to tie the game!

Unfortunately just four minutes later, Josip Juranović took the ball all the way from his own half to Slavia’s penalty area where he shot at goal and hit the top-right corner perfectly. Kolář could not react to his fast shot. 1-2.

In the 43rd minute, Nico Stanciu received a pass in the box, passed the ball back to Ivan Schranz who shot at near post but Boruc was there to stop it!

But Slavia equalised after all in the last minute of added time! Oscar Dorley passed the ball from left wing to the box where Ibrahim Traoré picked it up, sent it in front of goal to Lukáš Masopust who scored comfortably to the open net! 2-2.

Red-whites started the second half with one change. Jan Kuchta replaced Jakub Hromada. Legia made three substitutions in the 46th minute.

The first fifteen minutes of the second half did not bring a goalscoring opportunity. In the 61st minute, Abdallah Sima was substituted by Ubong Ekpai and Ivan Schranz was replaced by Ondřej LIngr.

Six minutes later, seventeen years old Daniel Samek made his Europa League debut as he replaced Lukáš Masopust who suffered a slight injury. After two minutes on the pitch he tested Boruc with a shot but the goalkeeper saved it.

Slavia started putting pressure on Legia from the 70th minute and the Red-whites were rewarded with a few dangerous opportunities which usually ended with a shot on goal but nothing more unfortunately.

Slavia had a big chance to take the lead in the 83rd minute. Samek crossed the ball into the penalty area where it rebounded to Kuchta. He tried to shoot but it was blocked by a defender. Stanislav Tecl, who was substituted just a minute earlier, got to the ball and his shot from close range was blocked as well.

The Red-whites drew the game with Legia Warszawa 2-2. They will play the second game of the tie next week on 26th August.
