UEL: One point from the Round of 32

Slavia are on top of their group after 4 games of 2020/21 UEFA Europa League, one point from qualification for the Round of 32.

Thanks to a better mutual game against Leverkusen, Slavia are on top of the Group C table after a win in Nice on matchday 4. The red and whites are thus close to the qualification for the spring part of the competition. They need to get just one point from the remaining two games.

On Thursday, Slavia host Hapoel Beer Sheva. Even though the Israeli team stands 4 th in the group with three points, they won the first game in Israel 3-1 against Slavia.

“We cannot think about the qualification now, it will be the most important thing. We need to focus on the game itself. It can be a retaliation for the away loss. We need to win in return,” says Slavia manager Jindřich Trpišovský.

If Slavia win or draw against Beer Sheva, they will secure their spot in the Round of 32 regardless of the last game against Leverkusen. In case Slavia win on Thursday, even a draw in Leverkusen would be enough to finish 1 st in the group. Beer Sheva and Nice both can still qualify from the group, but both would need to win both their remaining games.

The game between Slavia and Beer Sheva will be played on Thursday, 3 December, with kick-off at 9 pm CET. It will be broadcasted live by Czech TV Sport.
