Slavia left for Barcelona

Slavia left for Barcelona on Sunday evening. The Red Whites play their fourth Champions League game against FCB on Tuesday.
The Red Whites will be missing centre back David Hovorka who suffered crucial ligament injury last week and will be out for 6 to 8 months. There are thus 22 names in the squad travelling to Barcelona.

Slavia will hold official training on Monday at 6 pm on Camp Nou. The game of Group F MD4 is taking part on Tuesday at 6:55 pm. Slavia U19 will play Barca U19 in UEFA Youth League at 2 pm at Johan Cruyff Stadium.

“It is a dream for every football player to play at such stadium. I am looking forward to playing there and I hope we will show decent performance. Should we grab some points there it would be even better,” says Slavia keeper
Ondřej Kolář.

Barcelona lost 1-3 to Levante on Saturday but our goalkeeper doesn’t think this will change anything for the game against Slavia. “The Champions League is something completely different in compare to domestic competition. Everyone focuses differently on Champions League. The game on Camp Nou will be extremely difficult. Barcelona play great at home an do not lose many points. But I believe we will show similar performance as in past European games,” Kolář hopes.
