Slavia Ladies against Hibs in the UWCL Round of 32

Slavia Ladies will play against Hibernian L.F.C. in the UEFA Women´s Champions League.
First game will be played on 11 or 12 September. Second leg on 25 or 26 September.

Hibernian Girls & Ladies Football Club play in Scottish Women’s Premiere League, the top division of women’s football in Scotland, and are affiliated with Hibernian FC from Edinburgh. Hibs Ladies are threefold winners of Scottish Premier League (2004, 2006 and 2007), they also won the Scottish Women´s Cup eight times (most recently in 2018) and Scottish Women´s Premier League Cup seven times (most recently in 2019).

In 2018/19 Hibs Ladies finished runners-up in the league, 3 points behind Glasgow City FC. The club from capital of Scotland then won their UWCL qualifying group ahead of Cardiff Met from Wales, Pomurje from Slovenia and Tbilisi Nike from Georgia (W3 D0 L0).

Last season, Hibs Ladies did not qualify for the UWCL. In 2017/18 they finished second in the qualifying group and did not qualify for the knock-out stage.

Slavia Ladies will start to their sixth consecutive UWCL season, reaching the quarter-finals in the last two years. The red-whites are currently 9th in the UEFA Women’s club ranking (Hibernian Ladies 48th). Last year Slavia have been knocked out by Bayern Munich in the UWCL quarter-finals after a 1-1 home draw and 1-5 away loss. Kateøina Svitková’s strike from the home game was later nominated for the UEFA Goal of the Season.

In the 17th round of the Chance Liga, Slavia defeated Slovácko 3–0 at Eden. Mojmír Chytil scored twice, and Tomáš Chorý added a ruthless finish. Igoh Ogbu returned from injury, and academy product Tomáš Jelínek made his league debut as part of the starting line-up.

Slavia drew 0–0 with Athletic Bilbao in the 5th round of the Champions League league phase. Jindřich Staněk delivered an exceptional performance, denying the Basque club four clear goal-scoring opportunities. After five matches, the Red-Whites have three points from three draws.

Anthem, Drones, Three Goalscorers and a Win Over Bohemians

Slavia defeated Bohemians in front of 18,992 spectators at Fortuna Arena and continue to lead the Chance Liga table. The Vršovice derby was decided in the first half, with goals from Tomáš Chorý and Štěpán Chaloupek (the latter deflected in by Okeke). In the second half, Lukáš Provod scored a stunning strike, while Zeman pulled one back for the visitors.
