Slavia defeated Dynamo České Budějovice 4-1 in the last game of 2019. Captain Milan Škoda scored twice and added 1 assist.
The red and whites started without Nico Stanciu who had to leave for Romania earlier for family reasons and without injured Mick van Buren. Ibrahim Traoré played as DM from the opening minutes, Milan Škoda started in front.

Slavia got into their first chance just 4 minutes into the game when Souček got enough space on the brink of the box, but his shot was aimed wide. But already in 13th minute the red and whites took lead. Traoré passed the ball to Masopust, his cross from the right wing found Škoda’s head and our captain scored his third goal in last three league games.

After 19 minutes Slavia doubled their lead. After a period of pressure Masopust set a backward pass to Vladimír Coufal and our right back sent his shot from the brink of the box into the net with the help of slight deflection by Dynamo defender Havel.

And the hosts added third in 28th minute. Škoda sent a nice through pass to Lukáš Masopust who fired the ball into the net between goalkeeper’s legs. The goal stayed even after quick check by VAR for possible Masopust’s offside.

Slavia set the pace of the game and could add other goals, but Souček was denied by Drobný after a beautiful combination on the right side, in the added time the experienced goalkeeper showed his skill again punching away Škoda’s deflected header.

For the second half, however, the guests started better and managed to score after 52 minutes Ubong Ekpai scored on the far post after the ball rebounded several times in Slavia box following cross from the left wing. Another series without conceded goal in Czech league for Ondřej Kolář thus ended after 650 minutes.

But Slavia regained the three-goal lead after 58 minutes. Traoré sent a nice cross from the left wing and Milan Škoda unattended inside the box headed in his second of the night.

More than 16 thousand fans at Sinobo saw other chances, mostly on Slavia side, but Ševčík’s effort after pass by Hora was blocked and Takács fired wide after nice play with Škoda.

Slavia thus haven’t lost single league game in autumn 2019, defeated České Budějovice 4-1 and with 17 wins and 3 draws are now 16 points clear on top of the league.
