Slavia - Zlín
Goals: 32. Tecl, 36. Provod, 64. Olayinka
Tecl, Provod and Olayinka scored as Slavia defeated Zlín in the last game of 2021/22 regular season.
Manager Jindřich Trpišovský made five changes compared to the last match against Jablonec three days ago. David Hovorka replaced Taras Kacharaba in defence, Tomáš Holeš paired up with Lukáš Provod in midfield and Ondřej Lingr and Peter Olayinka supported Stanislav Tecl who started as a lone striker.

The first big opportunity for the Red-Whites came 10 minutes into the game. Ondřej Kúdela passed the ball to Lukáš Provod, he sent a shot from the edge of the penalty area to the far post and missed the goal by just a few inches. Several minutes later, Schranz found Tecl in the box, but his shot was saved by Zlín goalkeeper.

After 20 minutes Tomáš Holeš sent a long-range shot on goal which missed close. Finally, Stanislav Tecl scored in the 28th minute after Provod’s superb pass but the goal was ruled out due to an offside position of our striker.

But only three minutes later Alexander Bah sent another cross into the box and Stanislav Tecl gave Slavia lead with a beautiful volley. 1-0.

And the Red-Whites doubled their lead only five minutes later. Lukáš Provod took the ball from the right corner of the pitch into the centre of the pitch, decided to send a low shot on goal and the ball went straight in between of goalkeeper’s legs. 2-0.

Ondřej Kolář had to make a good save five minutes later on the other side of the pitch, but it was the only bigger chance of Zlín in the opening half and. Slavia thus had a two-goal lead after the first 45 minutes.

After the break Provod was the first who could score another for Slavia in the 55th minute, but his shot from behind the box was saved by Rakovan. Only a minute later Lingr’s deflected shot had to be blocked by Zlín goalkeeper again.

Slavia created more chances, but the third goal did not come until the 64th minute. Tecl set up Schranz with a through pass, the Slovak midfielder sent the ball past Rakovan and Peter Olayinka scored a tap-in from close range. 3-0.

The Red-Whites then kept Zlín at bay for the rest of the game. After a 3-0 win Slavia kept their leading position in the Fortuna Liga one point ahead of Viktoria Plzeň and 7 points ahead of Sparta. The Champion’s Group starts on Sunday, Slavia will play away against Hradec Králové.
