Slovácko - Slavia
Goals: 11. Sadílek, 45. Kadlec - 36. (pen.) a 72. Stanciu, 81. Lingr
Nico Stanciu scored two as Slavia won 3-2 at Slovácko to extend the unbeaten run to 33 games.
Slovácko opened the score with a lucky goal just 11 minutes into the game. Lukáš Sadílek sent a cross from the left wing and the ball ended in the net without being touched by anyone.

After a shocking start Slavia slowly grew into the game and created their first chance after 26 minutes. After a corner Sima outjumped Slovácko defence on the far post but his header only hit woodwork.

Half an hour into the game Stanciu tried his luck from the edge of the box but Nemrava blocked his effort which resulted into a corner kick. A minute later Provod fired his volley wide in a difficult position after Olayinka’s pass from the left wing.

Slovácko gifted Slavia another opportunity themselves when Jurečka blocked the ball with is hand inside the box and VAR check confirmed penalty for the Red-whites. Nicolae Stanciu fired the ball in the middle of the goal and equalised in 36th minute.

Slavia were better team for the rest of the opening half, but it was Slovácko again who scored before the interval. In the first minute of the added time Sadílek sent another ball from the corner, Kalabiška flicked on his cross and Michal Kadlec headed it into the net on the far post.

Shortly into the second half the Red-whites could equalise for the second time when Kuchta latched onto a long ball, but our forward tried to go past the goalkeeper, got into a sharp angle and could not fire anymore. In the 54th minute Jurečka got into a chance on the other side, but Kolář managed to block Jurečka’s low shot from the left side.

Jindřich Trpišovský reacted with triple substitution when Lingr, Masopust and Kacharaba came on the pitch, and it was Lukáš Masopust who got into another chance. He found the ball blocked by Nemrava inside of the box and could fire into an open net, but Abdallah Sima got into the trajectory of his shot and produced an unfortunate block.

But Slavia managed to equalise anyway. On 72nd minute Lingr was knocked down by Kadlec two metres behind the box and from the set piece Nicolae Stanciu sent his second of the night into the top right corner.

Slovácko run out of steam in the final 15 minutes and allow Slavia into more chances. In the 81st minute Stanciu sent the ball to the left side to Bořil, his cross found Ondřej Lingr unattended in the box and our forward headed the ball close to the right post.

Slavia thus came from behind at Slovácko and won 3-2 after two away draws in the Czech league. Next week there is a cup game at Sinobo against Slavia Karlovy Vary on Wednesday, 3 March, at 5 pm.
