Slavia - Ajax
Goals: 67. Chorý - 18. van den Boomen (pen.)
Slavia drew 1-1 with Ajax in Eden in the second round of the Europa League and have four points after two matches. The opponents were ahead after a penalty, Tomáš Chorý equalised in the 67th minute, the visitors played the last fifteen minutes without the suspended Baas. The match was attended by 19 296 spectators.
The starting line-up underwent five changes compared to the Vrsovicke derby, with Simion Michez playing for the first time from the starting minute. The Tribuna Sever welcomed the players with choreography by the legendary Scottish coach of Slavia, John William Madden.

The visitors were the first to threaten, Brobbey picked out a cross and, facing Antonin Kinsky, missed the back post. Slavia's number one also dealt with a shot which was headed on target by David Zima. After Rasmussen was brought down by Ondrej Zmrzly, the Lithuanian referee Treimanis ordered a penalty kick, which was converted by van den Boomen in the 18th minute with a shot to the right post, Kinsky diving to the left - 0:1. It was the first time this season that Slavia was first to concede a goal at home.

After half an hour Mojmir Chytil had the equaliser on his head, he just missed, Zmrzly, who was sliding on the back post, was centimetres short of the finish. The same player tried his luck with a right-footed shot from distance, Pasveer had to box out. A minute before the end of the first half, Brobbey ran alone at Kinsky, but he didn't even direct his second chance between the three posts, he was pressed by the oncoming Zima and headed wide.

The second half kicked off with a great flurry, three Ajax players fell for Conrad Wallem's shot, managing to block it for a corner. The pressure of Slavia grew, Prebsl fired, against the shot of Michez, Pasveer made a fantastic save at his right post, with the tips of his gloves he prevented a certain goal.

After an hour of play, the management team had to make four substitutions, with Chytil, Michez, Wallem and Lingr being replaced by Tomas Chory, Matej Jurasek, Malick Diouf and Lukas Provod. Jindrich Trpisovsky had a lucky hand... In the 67th minute it was equalised, Oscar transferred the game, Jurasek with a beautiful centre found Tomas Choryy, who made no mistake with his header - 1:1. The national striker made his third appearance in red and white, scoring two goals against Union SG.

Christos Zafeiris replaced Prebsl in the 74th minute and a few tens of seconds later Baas was sent off after a second yellow card. A quarter of an hour of numerical superiority awaited Slavia. Kinsky intervened reliably against Gaai's finish, Chory's header was knocked down for a corner, Zafeiris shot high with his right. Pasveer had to intervene against Jurasek's attempt in the 86th minute, but he had no serious worries. The referee set five minutes, Chory headed off the line.

The match did not offer anything else, Slavia added a point to the big UEL table for a 1-1 draw. The next European match is on the 24th October in Bilbao.
