Slavia take all three points from the home game against SLovácko despite the away team´s late goal.
Several players from the injury list returned to Slavia squad after the international break, Bah and Bořil thus started as right and left backs, Ladislav Takács made his first cap for the Red-Whites almost 10 months after his last appearance for Slavia, Petr Ševčík was in the starting eleven in midfield too. Aleš Mandous made his full debut in goal replacing Ondřej Kolář.

Slovácko were caught napping on the beginning of the game. With only three minutes on the clock Ubong Ekpai received nice through pass on the right side, went past a defending player inside of the box and hit the right post of Nguyen’s goal. The ball, however, rebounded on the edge of the box and Daniel Samek found the back of the net firing the ball close to the left post.

After 11 minutes Lingr set up Kuchta in a similar position, our forward went past one of the defenders and tried his luck with a powerful low shot, Nguyen, however, managed to block it with his leg.

Slavia were stronger on ball in the following minutes, most of the promising situations resulted from long through passes behind Slovácko defence, but the hosts could not create any goalscoring opportunity.

On the other side Slovácko got closer to Slavia goal mostly after set pieces. After a long throw-in in the 42nd minute Sadílek tried his luck with his right foot from behind the box, but he sent the ball above the crossbar. Aleš Mandous thus did not have to face any shot on goal in the first half of his debut.

The second half started wit two big chances on both sides. First Kuchta was set up by Bah on the right side and his powerful shot from behind the box hit the outside of the net.

On the other side Petržela set up Jurečka in a quick counter-attack and Bořil had to block his shot into an open net almost on the goal line. The ball then rebounded to Havlík who could shoot again into an open net, but this time it was Holeš who helped Mandous by blocking the low effort.

Just two minutes later Aleš Mandous had to show his skill for the first time when he dived to his left side to save Sadílek’s effort from close range. In the 58th minute Reinberk fired from behind the box, but Slavia goalkeeper was on the right place again.

Slavia doubled their lead after 68 minutes. Oscar passed the ball to Bořil on the left side, our captain bravely advanced into the box, passed the ball to his right and Stanislav Tecl, who replaced Jan Kuchta ten minutes earlier, scored second for the Red-Whites into an open net.

The two-goal cushion gave Slavia much needed confidence, and the hosts could score more. In the 73rd minute Tecl sent a low cross from right wing and Traoé was just half a step from sending it into the net. Six minutes later Takács was similarly close at the end of a beautiful combination on the right side, but he could not reach Ekpai’s pass inside of the box.

After 88 minutes Tecl got into another opportunity from 10 metres after Oscar’s pass from the right side, but he fired wide.

In the last minute of the regular time Slovácko managed to score when Filip Vecheta fired the ball through Mandous from close range. In the added time the away team could equalize, but Navrátil missed close with his close-range header.

Slavia thus defeated Slovácko 2-1 home and remain the only unbeaten team in the 2021/22 Fortuna Liga season.
