Slavia defeated Benatky nad Jizerou 4-1 in the 3rd round of the MOL Cup, advancing to the Round of 16. Chytil, Konecny, Wallem, and Buzek scored in the first half against the third-division team, with the home side pulling one back in the final moments. The match was watched by 3,585 spectators.

Making their competitive debuts in the red-and-white starting lineup were Mikulas Konecny and Jan Tredl, while Igoh Ogbu returned from injury, captaining the team with a protective face mask. Before the game, the home side honored Slavia?s fitness coach Martin Trasak, who played 79 games over five seasons for Benatky, helping them achieve promotion to the division.

The gold-and-black-clad hosts threatened first, but Ales Mandous, playing his season debut, corrected his distribution error with a successful double save. Goalkeeper Keller blocked Mojmir Chytil's solo attempt. In the 14th minute, Jindrich Trpisovsky?s side took the lead as Mojmir Chytil redirected Matej Jurasek?s cross from the left into the net ? 0-1. Just 120 seconds later, Mikulas Konecny headed in from a corner, assisted by Jurasek again ? 0-2.

In the 27th minute, Conrad Wallem scored with a header after a cross from Tredl on the right ? 0-3. Four minutes later, Alexander Buzek added his first competitive goal for the A-team with a follow-up shot ? 0-4. Macek came close to narrowing the gap with a header just past the left post. The end of the half belonged to the home goalkeeper, who made outstanding saves on shots from Tredl and Buzek, earning applause from the packed stands.

After an hour of play, Slavia made four substitutions, bringing on Daniel Fila and Daniel Toula (Fila making his return from injury, Toula making his competitive debut for Slavia), along with the fit-again Ivan Schranz and Lukas Masopust. Jurasek, Pech, Zmrzly, and Chytil left the field.

In the 72nd minute, Filip Prebsl replaced Tredl, immediately testing Keller with another fine save. At the other end, Hajek shot wide after a solo effort. Schranz?s lob was cleared off the line by a Benatky defender, and Fila?s goal four minutes from time was disallowed for offside. Both goalkeepers excelled, with Mandous stopping Zitka?s breakaway and Keller saving Masopust?s angled shot. Zitka gave the final touch to the scoreline in added time ? 1-4.

Jindrich Trpisovsky?s side won 4-1 in Benatky, advancing to the domestic cup Round of 16.
