Slavia - Mladá Boleslav
Goals: 7. Olayinka
Slavia won their first game after the league restart. Despite the red-white dominance, Peter Olayinka´s strike from 7th minute remained the only goal of the game.
Slavia took lead just 7 minutes into the game. Holeš sent a beautiful through pass to Peter Olayinka and the Nigerian forward fired the ball past Mikulec to the far post. It was 5th Slavia goal scored in the opening 10 minutes of the game in 2020/21 Czech league and also Olayinka’s third goal against Mladá Boleslav – the most he has scored against one club.

Slavia absolutely dominated the first half. In the 15th minute Ševčík passed the ball to Sima inside of the box, but our winger sent his shot only to the middle of the goal where Mikulec stood.

After 26 minutes Stanciu – who returned to the squad after he had missed Nice game because of the birth of his daughter – fired from outside the box, but Mikulec deflected the shot over the crossbar with his fingertips. Six minutes later the same player got to the ball after a pinball-like set of deflections, but the away goalkeeper blocked his effort from 18 metres again.

After 41 minutes another blow came for Slavia defence lines. After a collision with Oscar, David Hovorka had to leave the pitch with a head injury and was replaced by former Boleslav player Laco Takács.

Slavia could add the second goal shortly after the break when Kuchta stood face to face to Mikulec, but Boleslav goalkeeper blocked his effort. On the other side, the away team started much better after the break which resulted in equal 20 minutes, and they also created their biggest chance in the 66th minute when Michal Škoda’s shot was blocked by Ševčík.

But Slavia slowly started to set the pace again. The hosts created several chances after their double substitution in 71st minute when Stanciu and Kuchta were replaced by Traoré and Lingr. Three minutes after the change Oscar Dorley got into the box and went past the goalkeeper only to have his pass blocked by one of the defenders.

In 75th minute Oscar found Lingr with his sharp cross, but the new man on the pitch headed the ball over the crossbar. In the rest of the game the red-whites managed to keep the ball and did not allow Boleslav into any dangerous attacks.

Slavia thus won 1-0 against boleslav and remains unbeaten in the 2020/21 Czech league. Ondřej Kolář kept his 50th clean sheet in 85 league games for Slavia.
