Slavia lost 0-2 away to As Roma in the 3rd game of the UEFA Europa League Group G. The home team scored both goals in the opening half.

First start for Tomáš Vlček in the group stage as centre-back. Masopust on an unusual position as part of attacking trio alongside Schranz and van Buren.

Slavia caught napping on the very beginning of the game when Bove sent the ball into the top right corner after a mistake in our build-up just 45 seconds into the game.

Lukaku doubled Roma lead in the 17th minute after a through pass by El Shaarawy.

Slavia were two goals down at the break and could not create bigger chances despite 54% possession. Mick van Buren’s effort from behind the box was blocked by Svilar in the biggest opportunity of the opening half.

Slavia showed signs of coming back into the game after the break, but Schranz fired wide after a through pass by Jurásek in Slavia biggest chance of the game at minute 64.

El Shaarawy could add third for Roma, but his effort hit the crossbar.

Slavia are secong in the Group G table with 6 points, Roma lead unbeaten with 9 points. Tiraspol and Servette both with one point.

Next European game will be played against AS Roma at home on 9 November from 6:45 pm.
