Slavia defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3-1 in the top clash of the 23rd round at Štruncovy Sady, strengthening their lead at the top of the table to thirteen points. Excellent starts to both halves proved decisive, with Tomáš Chorý scoring twice and Igoh Ogbu adding a header. Šulc netted Plzeň’s only goal from the penalty spot.

The starting lineup was nearly identical to the one that beat Ban?k a week earlier, with the only change being the return of Tom?? Hole?, replacing ?t?p?n Chaloupek on the bench. Slavia aimed to improve their record at Doosan Arena, where they had won only twice in their last ten league visits (2-1-7) and had failed to score in their previous two games.

Slavia got off to a dream start, taking the lead after just 104 seconds. Tom?? Chor? finished a brilliant cross from David Doud?ra ? 0:1.

Plze? attempted a quick response, but Jind?ich Stan?k denied Va?ul?n?s angled strike and also saved ?erv?s effort. In the 17th minute, referee Rou?ek reviewed a handball incident in Slavia?s penalty area and awarded Plze? a penalty, which ?ulc converted ? 1:1. It was the first goal Stan?k conceded since returning from injury.

In the 41st minute, Slavia was awarded a penalty of their own after Va?ul?n handled the ball. Tom?? Chor? stepped up and sent the ball into the left corner, with goalkeeper Jedli?ka diving the other way ? 1:2. The national team striker reached his 10th league goal of the season and his 16th in Slavia?s colors.

Just before halftime, Stan?k made a crucial save to clear a dangerous scramble in front of his goal, and the referee?s whistle ended Plze??s pressure.

The second half started just like the first ? with a Slavia goal. Christos Zafeiris, celebrating his 22nd birthday on matchday, delivered a corner that Igoh Ogbu powerfully headed home ? 1:3. The Nigerian defender celebrated his first goal of the season.

In the 57th minute, Zafeiris made way for David Moses, while Schranz was replaced by Vasil Ku?ej. In the 75th minute, a slightly deflected shot from Provod forced an excellent save from Jedli?ka, tipping the ball onto the right post.

As the match neared its conclusion, Ond?ej Lingr came on for Provod, and Durosinmi?s header missed the target.

No further drama unfolded, and Slavia took home three valuable points from Plze? with a commanding 3-1 victory.
