Slavia - Mladá Boleslav
Goals: 16. a 78. Jurečka, 27. Zmrzlý, 89. Zafeiris
In their final match of the 2023/24 season, Slavia Prague defeated Mladá Boleslav 4-0 in front of 16,718 spectators. Václav Jurečka, who scored twice, became the top scorer of the FORTUNA:LIGA for the second consecutive year with a total of nineteen goals. Ondřej Zmrzlý and Christos Zafeiris also scored, while Aleš Mandous kept a clean sheet.
The lineup saw two changes from the match against Slovácko. Aleš Mandous returned to goal for the first time since the cup derby, and Mojmír Chytil was back in attack, eager to surpass Plzeň’s Pavel Šulc, who had scored 18 league goals this season, at the top of the scorers' chart.

Jurečka needed one goal to tie, Chytil needed two.

Before kickoff, there was a minute of applause for the late actor, director, writer, and devoted Slavia fan Jan Kačer, who passed away on Friday at the age of 87. Sincere condolences to his family and all who mourn him!

The first chance in Eden came from Jurečka after a setup by Chytil, but Trmal was alert in the center of the goal. The top scorer of last season found the net in the 16th minute, receiving a cross from Matěj Jurásek and decisively scoring - 1:0. It started to rain heavily over Eden at that moment, and VAR confirmed the goal, marking Jurečka's 18th goal of the season.

In the 22nd minute, Tomáš Holeš’s long-range attempt was caught by Trmal, and David Zima's shot just missed the left post. The Boleslav goalkeeper also dealt with another shot from Jurečka.

In the 27th minute, Ondřej Zmrzlý connected with Chytil's cross and scored the second goal - 2:0. The January signing from Olomouc scored his third goal in the last six league matches. A sliding defender blocked Jurásek’s shot, and Trmal saved another attempt near the post. Slavia withstood Boleslav's pressure at the end of the first half, allowing no direct shots on Mandous’s goal, even during six minutes of added time. They went into the break with a two-goal lead.

In the 54th minute, Chytil's shot was deflected for a corner, and Zima’s header went over the bar. Boleslav’s goalkeeper made a great save against Oscar’s left-footed attempt an hour into the game. Coach Jindřich Trpišovský made his first substitutions, bringing on Lukáš Provod and Mick van Buren for Chytil and Jurásek.

Ogbu's powerful header from a Ševčík corner lacked precision, and Trmal caught Provod’s long-range shot in two attempts. In the 70th minute, Ševčík was replaced by Christos Zafeiris, and Diouf came on for Zmrzlý. Trmal punched away Douděra's rocket shot and dealt with van Buren's header. A few seconds later, the Dutch forward hit the crossbar.

In the 78th minute, Václav Jurečka finished off a pass from Provod, securing his 18th goal of the season and taking the lead in the scoring chart - 3:0. Last year, he scored twenty goals to claim the top scorer title. Congratulations!

Stanislav Tecl came on for the final minutes, having scored for the reserve team earlier in the day to help them secure first place in the ČFL Group A against Domažlice. He received a thunderous applause from the fans.

The fourth goal came in the 89th minute after a beautiful solo effort by Christos Zafeiris, assisted by Jurečka - 4:0.

Nothing more happened in the match, and Slavia bid farewell to their fantastic fans with a 4-0 victory over Mladá Boleslav.
