Musa: We enjoy every game we can play

Petar Musa scored two goals against Jablonec and climbed on top of the best goalscorers’ table with 13 strikes. “It’s not about me. It’s about the team,” he says.

“In the game against Jablonec we confirmed that we are the best team in the league. Of course, I am glad for my goals, but the credit goes to the entire team, not only me. I am happy we won in the first place,” Musa said after the game.

Croatian striker scored his opening goal just 8 minutes into the game and Slavia then set the pace for the rest of the match. “I enjoyed it. After all, we enjoy every game we play. Even more when we play home and there are our fans back at the stadium. I think we made them happy against Jablonec. We showed them that our position in table is justified.”

Musa could compete a hat-trick with late added-time penalty, but Jablonec goalkeeper Hanuš managed to block his attempt. “First of all, I am happy for the win, but of course, I am sorry that I failed to convert the penalty. But it does not matter now, the win itself is more important.”

With 13 goals this season the 22-year old forward is now the best striker of Czech league. Does it mean he is even more motivated into the next games? “I am still young so I must be motivated for every game. I want to play at full blast, I want to perform good and to win. That’s why I say - our win is most important.”

Slavia are going to be Czech champions, Petar Musa could be the best striker of the league despite joining the red and whites only in January. “I enjoy this. Slavia is great team with great potential, my teammates are wonderful, the same can I say about our fans. I am glad I can be part of this team,” the striker concludes.
