Michael Ngadeu in the Europa League Team of the Week

Slavia defeated FC Copenhagen 1-0 away thanks to Jan Matoušek’s maiden goal in red-white. One of the biggest credits for clean sheet (zero shots on goal for the home side) go to Cameroonian centre-back Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui.
Ngadeu won 6 aerial duels and made 9 clearances against FC Copenhagen according to uefa.com and contributed heavily to elimination of the home team pressure at the end of the game, defending the narrow 1-0 win (FCK had 0 shots on goal according to official stats). It is his second appearance in the UEL Team of the Week. Last year he made it to the TOP 11 after scoring an important goal in Astana.

“Ngadeu and Kúdela have played one-on-one on Copenhagen forwards and both did well in the difficult task. We have eliminated Fischer and tired N’Doye,” Slavia manager Jindřich Trpišovský said after the game.

Slavia now sit second in the Group C table, one point behind FC Zenit and two points ahead of FC Copenhagen. The home game against FCK will take part on Thursday, 8 November, at 9 pm in Eden Arena.
