Hovorka out due to cruciate ligament injury

David Hovorka will undergo surgery after his injury in Plzeņ away game. Slavia will have to get by without one of their key players for several months.
Slavia centre back who has been voted the man of the Match against Barcelona by Slavia fans suffered the injury after an hour of the game between Viktoria Plzeņ and Slavia. First medical in Military University Hospital in Prague confirmed the worst diagnosis torn anterior cruciate ligament.Hovorka will undergo other medicals on Monday and the hospital staff together with club doctors will decide about the date of the surgery. His recovery is expected to be long.
David Hovorka had to step down after 61 minutes of the game against Plzeņ. He was substituted by Michal Frydrych and Slavia kept their 1-0 lead in the key game of autumn season. We wish David the best of luck in his fight. The club will do maximum for his fastest possible return on the pitch.
