On Wednesday evening Slavia host Barcelona in Eden. Both teams sit on top of the table in Czech and Spanish league.

Barcelona – as well as Slavia – lead in their competition. The Blaugranas are currently one point ahead of their main rival Real Madrid, Slavia have six-point lead ahead of Viktoria Plzeň who will be our next opponent on Sunday (El Clásico between Barcelona and Real was postponed due to unrest in Catalan capital).

Despite their poistion in the table, Barcelona cannot be 100% satisfied with their season so far. Even though the FCB got all available points home at Camp Nou, they lost 8 points away so far drawing with Osasuna and losing to Bilbao and Granada. Without Lionel Messi Barcelona witnessed shocking start into the La Liga season dropping to 7th place and getting only 40% of possible points. Since Messi started his first league fixture, Barcelona hold 100% record though. The Blaugranas won 5 games in row including last two – 3-0 against Eibar and 4-0 against Sevilla.

Barca scored 23 goals in La Liga so far with Luis Suárez netting 5 of them (and two more in Champions League). On the other hand, they also concede much more than Slavia (10 goals in 9 La Liga games).
