Champions Group Preview: Slavia v Sparta
Slavia will be crowned Czech champions after the game against Sparta on Wednesday, 8 July. It will be the first back-to-back title for the red and whites since 2009. Sparta won the MOL Cup last week and secured 3rd place in the league table behind Slavia and Plzeň.
Not only two most successful clubs of Czech and Czechoslovak history, but also two best clubs after the coronavirus break will meet at Sinobo on Wednesday. Slavia won 26 points since the league restart for 8 wins and 2 draws, Sparta are two points behind with 8 wins and 2 defeats (both against Viktoria Plzeň).
The game could also decide about the 2019/20 Czech league top scorer. Currently Petar Musa (SLA) and Libor Kozák (SPA) are both on top of the table with 14 goals. Unfortunately, Musa was booked for the second time in the Champions Group last game in Liberec and will mis the last game.
