Alexander Bah is in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Week following the R32 second leg against Leicester.

Alexander Bah is among three defenders in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Week after the Round of 32 second leg along with Oleksandr Syrota from Dynamo Kyiv and Kieran Tierney from Arsenal. The ranking is based on highest-scoring players this week in the FedEx Performance Zone.

It was Bah ´s second European game for Slavia after joining Slavia from S ?nderjyske. In the Czech Fortuna Liga, the Danish defener started to all 7 games in 2021.

Slavia held Leicester at bay in both legs of the Round of 32. After a 0-0 home draw the Red-whites won 2-0 away at Leicester thanks to goals by Provod and Sima. Leicester suffered their first home defeat in any European competition since September 1997 and Slavia nbsp;ended their run of nine such matches without defeat.

Tomas Chory opened the scoring early, and Oscar sealed the dramatic win in the 87th minute to break the deadlock. It was Slavia’s 20th consecutive home league victory, surpassing a nearly century-old club record.

​The champions of this season’s Chance Liga returned to Fortuna Arena in style. In the 2nd round of the championship group, they erased a two-goal deficit against Plzen and claimed a thrilling 4–3 win — their third victory over the West Bohemian side this season. Goals from Schranz, Zafeiris, Zima, and Holes secured the triumph in front of 18,413 fans. Slavia remain perfect at home in this league campaign!
