Against Cluj for the Champions League

Slavia will play CFR Cluj in the Champions League play-off on 20 and 28 August.
CFR Cluj are traditional Romanian club founded 1907, fivefold champions of Romanian top division. In 2018/19 Cluj finished on top of the league 5 points ahead of FCSB, in Romanian Cup they lost to Astra in semi-finals. Last year CFR lost to Malmö in UCL 2nd qualifying round and later was surprisingly eliminated by Dudelange in Europa League play-off.

This season the Romanians have been much more successful eliminating Astana and Maccabi Tel Aviv on their path to 3rd qualifying round. After a 1-1 home game against Celtic FC Cluj have played extraordinary second leg in Glasgow coming from behind losing 1-2 and 2-3 to win 4-3 after goals on 80th and 97th minute.

After 5 games of Romanian League 1 CFR Cluj sit on top of the table with 13 points (W4 D1 L0).

Slavia will play first game away in Romania on
Tuesday, 20 August (KO at 9 pm CET). Second leg will be played on Sinobo Stadium in Prague on Wednesday 28 August (9 pm CET). Ticket info will be released in following days.

Winning Finish to a Golden Season. Champions Defeat Plzeň

Wearing a special set of charity kits, Slavia Prague defeated Viktoria Plzeň 3–0 in the final match of the season. The champions opened the scoring with quick-fire goals from Chaloupek and Suleiman, before Chytil added a penalty before half-time. The celebrations could then begin in Eden with the “Garden Party for a Good Cause.”

Defeat in Hradec. Debutant Kohout Scores Slavia’s Only Goal

The Chance Liga champions suffered a 3–1 defeat away to Hradec Králové in the penultimate round of the season. The Votroci remained the only team Slavia failed to beat this season. Slavia’s only goal came late on through debutant Dan Kohout.

CHAMPIONS 23. Victory over Jablonec Secures Back-to-Back Titles

Slavia Prague defeated Jablonec 5–1 in the third round of the championship group and secured the league title. The goals that sealed the successful defence of last year’s triumph came from Štěpán Chaloupek, who scored twice, Samuel Isife, Mojmír Chytil and Tomáš Holeš. The visitors’ only reply came through Sobol. It is the 23rd league title in the club’s history. CONGRATULATIONS. THANK YOU!
